At the Wisconsin Maritime Museum there is so much to see and do. You’ll want to come and learn about the maritime history of Wisconsin and the Great Lakes. The kids will want to play in the Children’s Waterways Room. You can even walk through a real U.S. Navy WWII Submarine. We suggest you allow three to four hours to fully explore the Wisconsin Maritime Museum and tour the U.S.S. Cobia.

The Rahr-West Art Museum has a dual nature. It exists as an 1891-1893 Victorian Mansion on the National Register of Historic Places, which was given to the city of Manitowoc in 1941 by it’s owner Mrs. Clara Rahr, with the purpose to be used as a museum and civic center. It currently has a contemporary gallery space for a growing permanent collection and showcase for temporary exhibitions. It is also the site of Sputnikfest, a celebration commemorating the chunk of Sputnik IV which landed in front of the mansion in 1962. ~Admission is free
